This is the profile on the incredible feline named Tom
a.k.a..Texas Tom, Tuxedo Tom, Koala-Tom,
"Two"
or the often misunderstood phrase "Twopee Twos"
The Legend of Tom was established when at an age of 12 weeks he fell in the river and swam 35
feet to the other side across swift currents using a "doggie-paddle" motion.
He survived for 36 hours alone, having to survive by foraging for lizards. He was still a
wild orphan untouched by humans when I attempted rescue of this curious creature.
I paddled over in my canoe at dusk, unsure how to capture the wild beast, but after a half hour of 'here
...kitty-kitty' he was snagged and wrapped in my own shirt. With a one handed padling motion I took ol' Tom
back to home base. Tom has been transformed from the feral 'lion-cat' he was into a tame fat housecat from
that day on. He is currently studying at Univerity Of Texas in Austin and can occasionally be found on 6th St.... beating
up on smaller inferior cats.
Tom has recently passed on to another dimension Feb.2006 and we will always remember him with love and wish him
well in kitty heaven. We will miss him.
